What are the aims of the Charities?

To support organisations that promote inclusion and community cohesion within our area of benefit. We offer this help on the basis of need and irrespective of background or religious belief of service users.

What can be applied for?

Core funding including salaries, project costs, equipment and capital projects.
• Grants for holidays and day trips for vulnerable people in the community. Applications will be decided on merit, but any application would need to evidence that the event is of a therapeutic nature and not entirely for social reasons.

What cannot be applied for?

We generally do not support cultural and musical events unless it can be proved that a particularly deprived group in the community would benefit from this project or that the event is designed to encourage social cohesion and integration.

What is the process time?

The trustees of the Charities meet quarterly in March, June, September and December. Completed applications need to be submitted approximately 20 working days prior to the meeting but enquiries are encouraged in advance of this to enable the Grants Officer to visit and discuss the application in more detail. Outcomes are usually conveyed the day following the trustee meeting.

Submission cut off dates for 2020
9th March, 15th June, 7th September and 16th November
